There really is," she told the crowd. Applegate owns her own art shop and coordinates the arts section at the Canfield fair. Coshocton County Fair Board member Bob Buxton, after more than 30 years serving as Junior Fair superintendent, changed roles, taking over as Art Hall supervisor, a role vacated by Dan Markley who retired last year.

"I said when that position came up I'd like to be the superintendent," Buxton said. "Sometimes you've got to watch what you're wishing for." Buxton, who for years submitted his own antiques, photography, and hobby and collectibles, has made a few changes in his hall this year to improve viewing. "We changed the photography and made everyone use foam boards this year, which will make it a lot easier to hang them," he said. "We won't have to staple them, and they'll fit into the slots (on the wall)." Peg boards were removed and panels placed in one display area to let light through, which will give spectators a better view. The ropes also have been removed to permit fairgoers a closer look.

"We're not making major changes all in one year," he said. "Just a few things." tribune.com; 740-295-3429 Twitter: 5 Floors. Endless possibilittes. Donley said she will be meeting with the Coshocton County Auditor's Office today to review the budget and financial matters.

The village might also request a budget audit from the state auditor's office just to make sure the books are in order, she said. The Council at the meeting voted to go on the Uniform Accounting Network, the computer software system used by the state auditor's office and most major municipalities in the state. This will allow for better and more detailed bookkeeping going forward. "It's going to take us a few months to get into the groove and figure out finances, but we will get there," Donley said. Additionally, she said a blue canopy and a security camera for Conesville Park purchased with village funds are missing.

She said officials would look for the items and if necessary file a theft report and seek insurance reimbursement. New members and goals At the meeting, Councilman David Saylor Sr. was promoted to council president. Paula Fry and Vicki Harvey, former council members, were welcomed back, along with newcomer Meg Gano. They join council members Gladys Thomas and David Saylor Jr.

Tonya Slade was appointed village clerk. Salary for the mayor is $150, council members are $83.11 and the clerk is $225 every three months. Donley said she would be donating her pay back to the village. Attorney William Todd Drown also is being retained by the village as legal counsel on an asneeded basis for $50 an hour. Drown is the village solicitor for Warsaw and other villages.

Donley said a letter would be sent to all village residents detailing the changes, what council is working on and thanking Appis for his service. Appis is suffer5 ing heart problems and his sister recently died of a heart attack. Village information and a list of new personnel will be posted at the post office, fire department and mayor's office. Currently, council is in discussions with Franklin Township trustees to contract with the township for gas for village equipment and winter snow removal. An insurance check for $4,250 was received for the Conesville Veterans Memorial that was damaged in a lightning strike in August.

Saylor who does woodworking, is drawing up plans for a new monument to be approved by the council. A security camera will be installed in the picnic shelter at Conesville Park and signs will be posted listing park hours to hopefully curtail recent vandalism. Donley said looking to the future as mayor, she wants to work on getting grants for village improvements and host a community clean-up day in the spring. She's talked with the Coshocton County commissioners about applying for Community Development Block Grant funds for street paving and repair. The Conesville council meets at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. William Dresden Cemetery. www.vocfh.com DEATH IN THE NEWS Andy Williams BRANSON, Mo. (AP) Emmy-winning TV host and "Moon River" crooner Andy Williams has died at age 84. Williams' publicist, Paul Shefrin, said Wednesday that the silky-voiced singer died Tuesday night at his home in Branson, following a year-long battle with bladder cancer.

Williams said in November 2011 that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer but planned to continue performing at the namesake theater he built in Branson in 1992. The clean-cut Iowa native began singing with his brothers as a child, and his easy style and mellow voice led President Ronald Reagan to call Williams "a national treasure.".
