TRIBUNE TRIBUNE Thursday, June 26, 1997 Obituaries MILDRED BANTUM COSHOCTON Mildred E. Bantum, 85, of 1877 Wandle Drive, Coshocton, died at 9 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 1997, at her home. Born April 17, 1912, in Coshocton County, Jackson Township, she was the daughter of the late Josiah "Sie" and Anna (Mader) Kreider. On Nov. 10, 1928, she married George A.

Bantum. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1991. Mrs. Bantum was a homemaker and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Coshocton.

She is survived by a son-inlaw, Grant Longstreth and wife Priscilla of Coshocton; two grandchildren, Mary Ellen Lowe and Shirley K. Brink, both of Coshocton; five greatgrandchildren, Amy Casey and husband Marc of Newark, Susan Crowthers and husband Robert, Dawnya Lowe, Christy Lowe and Paul Michael Brink, all of Coshocton; two greatgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Goldie Schlegel of Navarre. Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Bantum was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kathryn Longstreth; seven brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the GivenDawson Coshocton Funeral Home with the Rev.

Ronald Law officiating. Burial will follow in the Coshocton Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday and until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. DORIS MCNICHOLS COSHOCTON Doris Marie McNichols, 75, of 339 Elm Coshocton, died at 9:15 p.m., Monday, June 23, 1997, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Born July 21, 1921, in Coshocton County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ollie (Beatty) Stotts. She married Charles Joseph McNichols. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1967. Mrs.

McNichols retired as secretary at Sacred Heart School after 25 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, Michael, McNichols and wife Susan of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Jody Lenzo and husband Tony, Vickie Jones and husband Greg "Pat," and Cindy Light and husband Wayne, all of Coshocton, and Christine McCleary and husband Ty of West Lafayette; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richards Stotts and Lawrence Stotts, both of Coshocton. Along with her parents and husband, Mrs.

McNichols was preceded in death by a son, Charles Eugene; a daughter, Kelly McInerney; and a brother, Paul. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 1997, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coshocton with Monsignor Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Memory Gardens. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart School. Arrangements were handled by Given-Dawson Coshocton Funeral Home.

Butler Baltic, died at 5:52 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 1997 at his home. Born Feb. 12, 1922, in Bucks Township, he was the son of the late Calvin O.

and Ruby (Regula) Stein. On Dec. 22, 1945, he married Norma Jean Stein. She survives. Mr.

Stein retired as a self-employed truck driver after 40 years. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Fiat. He was also a member of the Baltic Conservation Club, and served as a trustee for Fiat Cemetery for many years. Mr.

Stein was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons, Eugene Stein and wife Sue of Fresno and Darrell Stein and wife Pam of Baltic; three grandchildren, Garry Stein, Kevin Stein and Marissa Halstead and husband Jason; and a sister, Marion Baab and husband Roland of Stone Creek. Mr. Stein was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd; and a sister, Lucille.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 27, 1997, in St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Fiat with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Fiat Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m.

Shepherd Sr. and Mary (Kuechle) Trotter. Mr. Shepherd was a self-employed hardwood floor installer and a member of the Crowder Baptist Church in Crowder, Miss. He is survived by his father, James W.

Shepherd Sr. and wife Barbara of Warsaw; his mother, Mary Trotter and husband Mel of Cape Coral, a son, Leif Dayton Shepherd of the home; five brothers, David Shepherd and wife Carol of Warsaw, Michael Shepherd of Glenmont, Scottie Shepherd and wife Mary of Millersburg, Joseph Shepherd and wife Shellee of Cape Coral, and Randy Shepherd of Warsaw; four sisters, Debbie Beam and husband Matt McCoy of Coshocton, Dawn Wise, Jennifer Thingelstad and husband David, all of Cape Coral, and Jami Helmick of Warsaw; a stepfather, Earl Wise of Cape Coral, an uncle, Freddie Faulkner and wife Cindy of Batesville, grandfather, Millard Pollock of Crowder, and a special friend, Leighann Anderson of Warsaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 27, 1997, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with the Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Miss Mullens is survived by five sisters, Jerenda Sleeper. and Sonja Moore, both of Howard, Janet Blubaugh and Penny Annett, both of Danville, and Jamie Mullens of Holmesville; a grandfather, Junior Clifford Mullens of Craigsville, W. and a grandmother, Lola May of Danville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Mullens.

20, 1917, in Kyserike, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Irving and Marjorie (Lewis) Farver. On June 15, 1938, she married Edward A. Bailey. He survives. Mrs.

Bailey was a homemaker. Along with her husband, she is survived by a brother, Charles Farver of LaJolla, two nieces; and four nephews. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by a sister, Dorcas Ashing. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, June 27, 1997, at the Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Coshocton with Pastor Donald Trigg officiating.

Youtzy, 96, formerly of East Fourth Street, West Lafayette, died at 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at Glenview Manor, Mineral Ridge.

Born April 22, 1901, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Clare) Youtzy. On Aug. 4, 1925, he married Gladys Taylor, who preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 1981. Mr.

Youtzy graduated in 1924 from the Salvation Army College in New York. He served with his wife at the Salvation Army in Coshocton from 1950 to 1958. The couple also served at Salvation Army Citadels in Dover, Zanesville, Bellaire, Cleveland, Alliance, Youngstown, Akron, Warren and Mt. Vernon before retiring. He was formerly a member of the Coshocton Rotary Club and the Coshocton Kiwanis Club.

Mr. Youtzy is survived by three daughters, Ruth M. Poling of Youngstown, Eva M. Harvey and her husband William of Mt. Gilead, and Gladys E.

Rudersmith of North Canton; a sister, Nellie Mitchell of Point Pleasant, W. nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the Free Funeral Home with Major Joseph Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Free Funeral Home, 788 S. Second Coshocton. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army Missionary Fund at any local Salvation Army Corps.
