Sunday, November 6, 1988 The Tribune 7 1 Smith-Moore wedding is in Amherst church The Free Pentecostal Church, at Amherst, Ohio, was the setting for the September 24 wedding of Vera Collins Smith, of Birmingham, Ohio, daughter of Wayne J. Collins of Corbin, Kentucky and the late Patsy Lawson Collins, and Ronald Moore, of Birmingham, Ohio, son of Evelyn Moore and the late Carl Moore, of Conesville. The Reverend Opal Fields Jr. officiated for their 7:30 p.m. double-ring, wedding ceremony, in the Free Pentecostal Church.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Herman Collins. The bride wore a street-length dress, in rose color and carried a bouquet of pink roses and baby's breath. She also carried a traditional handkerchief. Maid of Honor was Blanch Collins, sister-in-law of the bride. She wore a street-length dress, in rose color.

The bridegroom was attired in a gray suit, with a pink rosebud and baby's breath boutonniere. Best man was Terry Moore, son of the bridegroom. He wore a gray dress jacket with black trousers and gray tie. A reception was held at the Free Pentecostal Church, in Amherst, hosted by the bride and bridegroom and their friends. The bride is self-employed.

The bridegroom is employed as a supervisor, at Bettchcr Industry, in Birmingham, Ohio. Following their honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, Arizona and California, they arc residing on Route 60 North, Birmingham, Ohio. A ft' MR. and MRS. GEORGE A.

Firster officiated for their wedding ceremony. The anniversary celebration will be hosted by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyd and Mr. and Mrs.

Jack (June) Olingcr, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd are members of the Roscoe United Methodist Church. Mr.

Boy is the retired former owner of Boyd Gravel Company. The couple request that gifts be omitted. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Boyd, of 44780 County Road 55, will celebrate their sixtieth wedding anniversary, with an open house, to be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 13, at the Roscoe United Methodist Church.

Mr. Boyd is the son of the late Bert and Bertha Boyd. Eugene Boyd and the former Evelyn Doak were united in marriage, November 17, 1926, at the home of the bride's parents, the late Luther and Laura Doak, of Fresno. Sixty years ago, November 10, 1928, Mr. and Mrs.

George A. (Mildred) Bantum, of 1877 Wandle Drive, were married, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Mr. Bantum is the son of the late Marshall C. and Jennie Bantum and the former Mildred E.

Kreider is the daughter of the late Josiah (Sie) and Anna Kreider. A former foreman of the core department at the Coshocton Clow Corporation, Mr. Bantum retired May 1 1973, Birthday will be honored MRS. BERTIE CROSS Mrs. Bertie Cross will be celebrating her ninety-eighth birthday, Thursday, November 10.

Mr. and Mrs. Bantum are parents of one daughter, Mrs.

Grant (Mary Kathryn) Longstreth. Two granddaughters, Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Brink and Mrs. Dan (Mary Ellen) Lowe, and five great-grandchildren, Susan and Paul M. Brink and Amy, Dawnya and Christy Lowe, complete their family.

Mr. and Mrs. Bantum are members of the Grace United Methodist Church.
