today at Pomerene Memorial hospital, where he had been a patient for 12 days. He was born Dec. 13, 1889, in New Philadelphia, a son of John W. and Lizzie Meese Erwin, and was married June 30, 1910, to Maz-ie McClain, who died Dec. 22, 1957.

He was a member of the Baptist church in New Philadelphia and the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. He had lived in Millersburg since 1926. Surviving are one son, Eugene Erwin of the home; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Page, Uhrichsville, and one granddaughter. Two brothers are deceased.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hunter funeral home in Millersburg in charge of Rev. James Hunter. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.

Cabbie Stabs Wife, Leaps Out Window CINCINNATI (LTD A crazed cab driver fatally stabbed his estranged wife Monday then leaped from a fourth story window, injuring himself and three children. Police said Leroy Stidham, 28, suffered a crushed foot and other injuries when he plunged head first from the window into a group of school children marching to school with a nun. The stabbing victim was attacked at the home of her mother, Mrs. Delia Botkins, 57, her brother, Clyde, 25, and his son, Ronnie Lee, 7. Botkins said he ran into Mrs.

Stidham's bedroom when Stidham entered and shouted "don't kill her. Don't kill her," but it was too late. He already had stabbed her several times. Botkins said Stidham then fan to the window and leaped out, crashing through the glass. The nun and three children were treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises and back injuries.

Dulles' Son Comes Home From Italy WASHINGTON (UPI)-Former Sec-Mary of State John Foster Dulles son has arrived in Washington from Italy. The State Department said the son, the Rev. Avery Dulles, S.J., called on his ailing father Monday in Walter Reed army medical center. State Department spokesman Lincoln White said young Dulles had returned to this country to continue his Jesuit order studies at Georgetown University and Woodstock, Md. President Eisenhower also drove to the hospital Monday afternoon for a private visit with Dulles.

The State Department announced that X-ray treatments for apparent cancer in the neck of Dullts were completed last Friday "without significant improvement in the discomfort." It said Dulles now "is receiving appropriate analgesics (pain relievers)." Lulles has cancer of the abdomen which apparently spread to the lower neck. Samilda Geib Mrs. Samilda Louise Geib, 79, Millersburg, a lifelong resident of Holmes county, died Monday at the Holmes county home. She was born March 5, 1880, a daughter of William Wesley and Emma Frazier Baughman. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Eastern Star lodge of Millersburg. Surviving are one son, Cliff Geib, Canton; three brothers, Floyd Baughman, Cleveland, Charles and Frazier Baughman.

Ross Mikesell, route, have returned from Virginia, 111., where they attended the funeral of the latter's father, Rev. George W. Boyd, 79, of Jones-boro. Rev. Boyd died April 22 at Jones-boro and was buried in a cemetery at Virginia, 111.
